About Us
orus.ph is not the BIR, and it is not the official ORUS portal. We are an independent guide website that explains BIR registration, TIN applications, and ORUS processes in plain language — so Filipinos can complete their tax transactions without confusion.
The official BIR portal is orus.bir.gov.ph. All registrations, TIN applications, and official BIR transactions happen there — not here. We point you in the right direction. The actual transaction is always between you and the BIR.
Who Runs This Website
orus.ph is managed by Anya, a Filipino tax and government services researcher who has spent the past four years tracking BIR circulars, ORUS updates, and revenue regulations to help ordinary Filipinos understand their tax obligations.
Anya started writing about Philippine government processes after watching colleagues miss BIR deadlines because official instructions were buried in legal language nobody could decode. She covers BIR registration, TIN verification, eAppointments, Books of Accounts, and the full lifecycle of tax compliance for individuals and small businesses.
She reviews every guide on this site personally, cross-references it against the latest Revenue Memorandum Circulars (RMCs), and updates content whenever the BIR changes a process, fee, or form requirement.
You can reach Anya directly through the Contact page.

What This Website Covers
orus.ph focuses entirely on BIR registration and Philippine tax compliance. Every guide is built around the questions real Filipino taxpayers search for every day.
Topics we cover:
- How to register with the BIR through ORUS — for employees, freelancers, sole proprietors, and corporations
- TIN application, TIN verification, and Digital TIN ID
- Step-by-step guides for BIR Forms 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, and 1905
- Books of Accounts registration and Authority to Print (ATP) applications
- Income Tax Return filing — deadlines, rates, and online filing methods
- eAppointment booking for TIN ID and BIR transactions
- Troubleshooting ORUS errors and common BIR registration problems
- Updates on BIR policy changes and new Revenue Memorandum Circulars
Why We Built This
Anyone who has tried to register with the BIR for the first time knows the experience. Official circulars are written for tax lawyers, not for a freelancer applying for a TIN before their first client payment. RDO queues are long. Online guides are either three years out of date or too vague to act on.
Every guide on orus.ph is:
- Written in plain, direct language anyone can follow without a tax background
- Based on current BIR circulars, ORUS processes, and official revenue regulations
- Updated when the BIR changes a process, fee, or form
- Structured around the exact questions Filipino taxpayers are searching for — not around what’s easy to write
Who This Website is For
orus.ph is useful for any Filipino dealing with the BIR system, including:
- First-time employees who need a TIN before their first payroll
- Freelancers and virtual assistants registering as self-employed
- Online sellers who need a Certificate of Registration and Authority to Print receipts
- Licensed professionals setting up a practice (doctors, lawyers, engineers, CPAs)
- Students and unemployed individuals who need a TIN for banking or government transactions
- OFWs managing Philippine tax obligations from abroad
- Business owners registering a new company or opening a branch
- Anyone who lost their COR, forgot their TIN, or needs to update their BIR registration details
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Tax rules change fast. BIR issues new Revenue Memorandum Circulars regularly. ORUS gets updated without much public notice. We take that seriously.
Every article on this website cites its sources — the specific RMC, revenue regulation, or official ORUS guide it is based on. When BIR rules change, we update our content promptly so you are not reading instructions that no longer apply.
If you spot something outdated or incorrect on any page, use the Contact page to let us know. We review all correction requests and update the relevant guide as quickly as possible.
A Clear Note on Our Independence
orus.ph has no official connection to the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Department of Finance, or any Philippine government agency.
We do not:
- Process TIN applications on your behalf
- Submit BIR forms or documents for you
- Issue Certificates of Registration, TIN IDs, or any official BIR document
- Have access to your BIR records or account
All official BIR transactions must be completed directly through:
- ORUS Portal: orus.bir.gov.ph
- BIR Main Website: bir.gov.ph
- BIR Hotline: (02) 8538-3200
- BIR Email: contact_us@bir.gov.ph
We are a guide. The transaction is always yours to complete, through the BIR’s official channels.
