TIN ID Online Appointment: Book via BIR eAppointment

Getting a TIN ID in the Philippines used to mean waking up early, commuting to your Revenue District Office, and spending hours in a queue. The BIR now gives you two ways to avoid all of that. If you specifically need a physical TIN ID Online Appointment, the BIR eAppointment system is your tool.

You can book an advance appointment through the BIR eAppointment System for RDO visits, or skip the appointment entirely and get a free Digital TIN ID through ORUS in under five minutes.

What is the BIR eAppointment System?

The BIR eAppointment System is a web-based booking calendar that allows taxpayers to reserve a specific date and time for their RDO visit. It was introduced to reduce physical queues at BIR offices and give taxpayers a guaranteed time slot for their transactions.

Available 24/7

Book your appointment online at any time, day or night.

Advance Scheduling

Same-day, next-day, or advance booking for all RDOs nationwide.

Email Confirmation

Receive instant email confirmation with appointment details.

The system is particularly useful during peak periods such as January for books of accounts registration, April for annual income tax filing, and the first quarter for new business registrations.

When Do You Need a BIR Appointment for TIN ID?

You need a BIR TIN ID Online appointment for TIN-related transactions that still require an in-person RDO visit. These include:

  • Applying for a physical TIN card for the first time
  • Claiming a replacement physical TIN card after loss or damage
  • Applying for a TIN if ORUS returns an error or a duplicate record flag
  • Updating your email address via BIR Form S1905 (required before creating an ORUS account)
  • Submitting BIR Form 1905 for registration updates, such as RDO transfers or name changes
  • Resolving duplicate TIN issues that cannot be cleared online
  • Claiming a printed Certificate of Registration (COR) if you prefer a physical copy

Don’t need an appointment?

If your purpose is only to get your TIN and a Digital TIN ID, you do not need an appointment. Go directly to ORUS instead.

What to Bring to Your BIR TIN ID Online Appointment

Arriving with complete documents ensures your appointment is not wasted.

  • PSA Birth Certificate (original and photocopy)
  • One valid government-issued ID (original and photocopy)
  • One 1×1 ID photo (recent, white background)
  • Community Tax Certificate (Cedula) from your barangay or city hall

For TIN card replacement (lost or damaged):

  • Accomplished BIR Form 1905
  • Affidavit of Loss (for lost cards, must be notarised)

  • PHP 30 Documentary Stamp Tax payment via BIR Form 0605

For email update via S1905:

Important Reminders Before Your Appointment

Follow these guidelines to make your RDO visit smooth and efficient.

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time slot. Late arrivals may forfeit their appointment.
  • Each appointment booking covers one transaction only. If you have multiple concerns, book separate appointments or inquire at the RDO if they can be processed together.
  • Appointments are per person. You cannot use one booking for multiple applicants.
  • If you are transacting on behalf of someone else, bring a notarized Special Power of Attorney (SPA) plus valid IDs of both yourself and the person you represent.
  • Do not book multiple slots for the same transaction. Duplicate bookings waste slots for other taxpayers.
  • Dress appropriately. Government office dress code applies. Sleeveless tops, shorts, and slippers are generally not allowed.
  • If your RDO’s appointment slots are fully booked, try again the following day as cancellations open new slots throughout the day.

Plans change, and I want to cancel the TIN ID online appointment. Here is how to manage your booking.

To Reschedule

  • Go to web-services.bir.gov.ph/eappointment
  • Click “Reschedule Appointment”

To Cancel

  • Go to web-services.bir.gov.ph/eappointment
  • Click “Cancel Appointment”
  • Enter your reference number and email
  • Confirm the cancellation

No-show policy

Cancel as early as possible so your slot becomes available for other taxpayers. There is no penalty for cancellation, but repeated no-shows may affect future booking access on some RDOs.

What if the eAppointment System is Under Maintenance?

The BIR eAppointment System occasionally goes under maintenance, particularly during peak tax periods and system upgrades.

  • Try again after a few hours. Maintenance windows are usually short.
  • Use ORUS at orus.bir.gov.ph for transactions that can be completed fully online (TIN application, Digital TIN ID, books of accounts registration, ATP application).
  • Visit your RDO directly as a walk-in during off-peak hours (early morning or mid-afternoon on Tuesdays or Wednesdays tend to be less crowded).
  • Call the BIR hotline at (02) 8538-3200 to ask about alternative booking options for your specific RDO.

Faster Alternative: Get Your Digital TIN ID via ORUS (No Appointment Needed)

If your goal is simply to have a valid TIN ID for employment, banking, or government transactions, skip the TIN ID online appointment entirely and use ORUS.

The Digital TIN ID:

  • Is free and issued instantly through ORUS
  • Carries the same legal weight as a physical government-issued ID under RMC No. 120-2023
  • Contains your TIN, full name, date of birth, and a scannable QR code
  • Is accepted by banks, employers, government agencies, and SIM registration counters
  • Can be saved on your phone or printed at home
  • Requires no appointment, no queue, and no RDO visit

To get your Digital TIN ID through ORUS:

  • Go to orus.bir.gov.ph and create or log in to your account
  • Complete your TIN registration if you have not done so yet
  • Go to Registration Services on your dashboard
  • Click Digital TIN ID Application
  • Verify your personal details and click Generate
  • Download the PDF immediately

The entire process takes under five minutes.

Everyone, fastest option

Recommendation for 2026: For most Filipinos, the Digital TIN ID through ORUS is the faster and more practical choice. The physical TIN card requires an RDO visit and is only issued to taxpayers who are already registered. If you just need proof of your TIN for a bank account, employer, or government transaction, the Digital TIN ID works just as well legally.

FAQs

It depends on the type of TIN ID you want. For a physical TIN card, you need to visit your RDO and an appointment via the BIR eAppointment System at web-services.bir.gov.ph/eappointment is recommended. For a Digital TIN ID, no appointment is needed since it is available instantly through ORUS at orus.bir.gov.ph

Go to web-services.bir.gov.ph/eappointment, click Book Now, select your region and RDO, choose your transaction type (TIN ID or TIN Application), fill in your personal details, and pick an available date and time slot. You will receive a confirmation email with your appointment reference number immediately after booking.

Bring your printed or screenshot appointment confirmation, accomplished BIR application form (Form 1902, 1904, or 1905 depending on your purpose), PSA Birth Certificate, one valid government-issued ID with photocopy, and one recent 1×1 ID photo. For lost TIN card replacement, also bring a notarized Affidavit of Loss.

Missing your appointment means your time slot is forfeited. You will need to book a new appointment through the eAppointment system. There is no penalty for a single missed appointment, but RDOs may restrict future bookings for taxpayers who repeatedly miss their scheduled slots without cancelling in advance.

If you arrive on time with complete documents, physical TIN cards are typically issued on the same day as your appointment. Processing at the RDO counter usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. The card is printed and released before you leave the office.

Conclusion

Booking a TIN ID online appointment in the Philippines is straightforward through the BIR eAppointment System. Select your RDO, choose your transaction type, pick an available time slot, and arrive on time with your complete documents. The entire booking process takes less than five minutes online and is completely free.

That said, for most Filipinos in 2026, the Digital TIN ID through ORUS is the better option. It requires no appointment, no RDO visit, no queue, and delivers a legally valid government ID instantly to your dashboard. Reserve the BIR eAppointment for situations where an in-person RDO visit is genuinely necessary, such as email updates via S1905, physical TIN card requests, or resolving ORUS errors that cannot be fixed online.
